Le Havre: real-time information to make the tramway works easier to live with

As Le Havre Seine Métropole begins construction of Line C of its tramway—an ambitious urban mobility project with 17 new stations—the local authority has made communication with residents a top priority.

Every day, more than 50,000 passengers already use the tramway network. With the extension to new neighborhoods, the Métropole aims to anticipate mobility needs and minimize the impact of construction on the daily lives of residents, commuters, and businesses.

ViaFacil, the smart works monitoring tool
To meet this challenge, the Métropole has adopted ViaFacil, an innovative mapping application developed by Nexterité. Integrated into the authority’s official communication channels, ViaFacil provides real-time updates on construction zones, whether planned or ongoing. The data is also shared with journey-planning apps used by the public, helping everyone better anticipate their trips.
